Options for Indian IT guy
I was wondering if anybody could offer me advice. I've been working in the IT field in the US for about 6 years now and am about to apply to MBA programs.Fri Aug 21, 2009 10:27 AM Of course, my first choices are Harvard/Stanford/Wharton, and I will apply to these programs, but I was wondering what other schools I should consider. Maybe schools that are less competitive for people with my profile (Indian IT guy.) Any recommendations would be great. |

When picking an MBA I think where you want to go is more important than where you've been. (Whereas, clearly the admissions people will want to know where you've been).Sun Aug 23, 2009 11:00 PM All of those schools you mentioned are in the top 5. If - for whatever reason - you're thinking you aren't going to get into these schools you can look anywhere in the top 25 or 30 in America and you'll probably be giving your career a big boost. Any geographical preferences? |

Thanks for the tip. I don't have a specific geographic preference, maybe the NYC area because I have family there. But I wouldn't say that's my defining factor. What about Georgia Tech or Austin? I think cost of living would possibly be less, which is important.
