Need help with choosing MBA programs

Hi,
I am looking to do an MBA in Singapore. I am looking for one which has more of International presence. Insead Asia and Chicago GSB looks good but their school fees are somewhat too hefty for me to afford. Additionally, I have shortlisted 3 other schools: University at Buffalo, University of Adelaide and University of Western Australia.

I have attended a seminar by UB in Singapore and thought that it is a pretty good school but the other 2 seem quite good as well (They are from the group of 8 universities in Australia).

Can anyone advise on which one I should select in terms of recognition, job prospect and ROI etc...

Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

It seems that NUS has a pretty well recognized MBA program as well, and I know they have international exchange programs, which would definitely help with the international presence aspect you're looking for. The other school you can also consider is Nanyang.

Hello there, do not get caught up on what school is better than the other. First thing when choosing a school, make sure it as AMBA acreditation virtaully all top 100 schools should have this. Next what is it you are really wanting from a school, do they listen to your needs and expectations, having a school with a great brand name can work against you as well as for you but it is no good if your in a class of 100 or more students because you then miss a lot of the dynamics than with a small group can offer you. What you need in my opinion is to have a career chat with someone in this field who is not bias and will tell you to visit at least 3 schools or hold a few conversations with schools. You should ask a school to telephone you back as you should not pay for the call if there a serious school. My best friend is a recruiter for a school in Holland one of the top 3 and it impresses me on how he recruits because he is unlike anyone else I have ever met or heard, he puts the candidate before anything else and listens very well with good all round advice. Ask lots of questions, ask if you can sit in a class and talk with alumni and then ask the alumni what would they change about there MBA if they had the chance. Good luck
Saint
