Harvard Business School to Accept GRE and GMAT Scores
HBS joins a number of business schools accepting results from both testsMay 20, 2009
Harvard Business School (HBS) has announced it will now accept both GRE (Graduate Record Exam) scores and GMAT scores for applicants to its MBA program beginning this year.In so doing, HBS joins a number of other business schools worldwide that now accept GRE scores in lieu of GMAT scores. These include Stanford GSB, MIT Sloan, INSEAD, IE, CEIBS, and Queen's (Canada).
The HBS admissions blog explained the decision: "We think that both tests will provide adequate metrics of what a standardized test can tell us about a candidate."
Harvard also announced that it will only accept scores from the internet-based versions of the TOEFL or IELTS tests for English as a foreign language.
